Woodsville Interchange traffic gridlock - 16/10/2010

Oh well, LTA has made the currently most drastic ever road diversion to any road upgrading project today and next Sunday at the ongoing Woodsville Interchange/ Flyover upgrading project. The road diversion details is available at the hyperlink below.

So I was held up onboard SBS bus 154 along PIE (Changi) in a gridlock for 20 - 25 mins for just some 1.6km. The jam started at Toa Payoh stretching all the way to the Woodsville Flyover grade-level road junction. I did noticed that even Toa Payoh Lor 6 ended up badly affected by the congestion as well. It's crazy as 25 mins could mean roughly being able to take Bus 154 from Ngee Ann Poly's campus bus stop to Potong Pasir before this diversion.

Looks like it's simply going to be worst on Monday. Expect massive delays on SBS Svs 5, 8, 13, 23, 26, 31, 59, 64, 65, 66, 90, 107, 125, 133, 142, 147, 151, 151e, 154, 506 & SMRT Svs 853, 857, 966, 985. If Toa Payoh Lor 6 indeed turns out to be congested, SBS Sv 57 & 238 would be dragged into the picture as well.
